PPPoE or Point-to-point protocol over ethernet is a way of connecting within our wired and wireless Wifibri network.
In short, it ensures that you only have to enter your Wi-Fi account information once in your PPPoE compatible device and then your device does the rest automatically.
How do you get started
Before you can even connect to our PPPoE server, you must make sure that your device is compatible with PPPoE. You can check this in the manual or via a search engine on the internet.
If you are sure how to connect your device to PPPoE, you can just enter your details and you should connect right away. after which you should be able to access the internet without any problems.
Requirements of the Wifibri PPPoE network
There are some requirements for the network, these are:
- As mentioned before a compatible PPPoE device,
- Wifibri wired network must be present for wired connection.
- Wifibri public must be present for wireless connection

- Download speed PPPoE: Max 25 Mbps
- Upload speed PPPoE: Site dependent
- Number of connections: 1 per wired branch point
When problems occur
Watch out! Here Wifibri helpdesk can not provide support for if the problem is related to the configuration of the unit, please provide the necessary documentation to search on forums, supplier, manufacturer, … If the problems related to the supply, or if you are sure that everything is correctly installed but still cannot connect, you can contact the helpdesk on the known channels.
